Need to locate the serial number or model number?
Nearly all of our finished goods have a serial number label located on them. This label contains both your serial number and model number. Look below for the product for which you are trying to locate the serial number label.
Chairs
Label Location
The serial number label for seating is usually placed on the underside of the seat.
If you have difficulty locating the label, turn your chair over and closely inspect the bottom of the seat. The label may be caught under the control mechanism. It is also possible that if optional arms were installed, the label my be located under the arm bracket

Once you have located the serial number label, your serial number is usually the alphanumeric code directly in the center of the bar code in large print. Your product’s model number is generally below the serial number. The color of the product is sometimes located under the product model number.

The serial number label for desks, credenzas, corner units, bridges, peninsulas, and returns without drawers is placed on the underside of the top. The label is usually placed on the underside, center of the top.
If you have difficulty locating the label, you may need to move any of the mobile furnishings out from under the unit.

The serial number label for system panels is placed on the underside of the top cap. To remove the top cap, carefully lift up on the cap. Once you can see between the cap and the top of the panel, squeeze on the spring clips to release the cap from the panel. Refer to panel instruction sheets.
If you have difficulty locating the label, be sure to check the length of the top cap.

If you have difficulty locating the label, you may need to move any of the mobile furnishings out from under the unit. If a center drawer has been installed, fully extend the drawer and look between the drawer tracks.
The serial number label for reception stations is placed on the top, inside surface of the back panel.
If you have difficulty locating the label, it is possible that it was moved during installation. Be sure to check under the top and on the other panels for your serial number label.
The serial number label for center drawers units, and overhead storage is placed on the underside of the drawer.
The serial number label for desks, credenzas, and returns is placed on the outside kneespace side of the top drawer. You will need to fully extend the drawer to find it.
If you have difficulty locating the label, fully open the top drawer and “clap” your hands on the drawer sides. The serial number label should be under or near your hand on the kneespace side of the unit. If you have a double pedestal desk, check both the right and the left drawer for the label.
The serial number label for modular component tops and backs is placed on the underside of the top. The label is usually placed on the underside, center of the top.
If you have difficulty locating the label, you may need to move any of the mobile furnishings out from under the unit. Additionally, if a center drawer or keyboard tray has been installed the label may be located under these. Extend the drawer or remove the mounting plate to access the serial number label.

As some of the units can be used on the left or right hand side, it is possible that the label has been moved during installation.
